The “Institute for Medical Sociology, Health Services Research and Rehabilitation Science (IMVR) of the University of Cologne” is a joint scientific institution of the Faculty of Human Sciences and the Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne. With the foundation of the IMVR, they aimed at a closer, problem-oriented networking of their knowledge disciplines in order to ensure high-quality and at the same time efficient health care for the population.
The IMVR consists of the departments of medical sociology, health services research and rehabilitation science as well as the office of the Centre for Health Services Research Cologne (ZVFK). The working groups of the IMVR have many years of experience in the field of empirical social research. Therefore, the IMVR is characterised by a high level of expertise in the planning, organisation, implementation and evaluation of studies in health care institutions as well as in the questioning of patients, staff and managers.
The research project “COVID-GAMS” is conducted by our team at IMVR.
